Become a Donor

Donors provide hope to thousands of patients searching for a life-saving match.

There are two ways to register as a potential donor. First, check that you meet the eligibility requirements. Next, you can either choose to:

• Attend a DKMS Donor Drive
  Donor drives are a wonderful way to register and meet fellow donors.
• Request a Typing Kit by Mail
  If you cannot attend a drive, you can request that a typing kit be sent to you.

When you become a DKMS donor, you become a member of the family.

Donors are issued donor cards and are contacted annually. Mailings remind donors that they are in the database, keep contact information up-to-date and inform donors of recent developments.

NOTE: When you register with DKMS, you are entered into our database and anonymously listed on the National Marrow Donor registry. The registry is searched each day by doctors looking to find a match for their patients. While DKMS does not register people who want to be specifically tested for one individual, this can be done privately by visiting www.bonemarrowtest.com/privatemarrow.htm
